Mike Witt

Mike Witt is currently the CFO at Deephaven Mortgage. Mike has previously held the position of CFO and Chief Accounting Officer at HSBC Mortgage Services from October 2004 to April 2008. Prior to that, they were the Product Development Manager for Direct Lending at Wachovia from January 1999 to December 2000.

Mike has been credited with increasing the approval rate on home equity applications from 75% to 78%, resulting in $600 million incremental volume. Mike also worked with Marketing to establish a fast track, quick closing Direct Mail for Home Equity which doubled the normal response rate. In addition, Mike worked with companies within the Mortgage Industry to establish ways to approve customers with limited to no previous credit history.

Mike Witt has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia, with a concentration in accounting.
