Jorge Onieva

Jorge Onieva has over 15 years of work experience, with a strong focus on deep learning imaging technologies applied in the medical field. Jorge has worked as a Data Scientist at DeepHealth since 2019, where they conduct research and develops software systems for implementing automatic algorithms in a clinical setting. Prior to that, they worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Brigham and Women's Hospital from 2014 to 2019, where they were involved in open source software development in medical image processing. Jorge also served as a Research Associate at Harvard Medical School during the same period, specializing in deep learning and artificial intelligence techniques for medical imaging. Before joining the medical field, Jorge worked as a CTO at Belbex Corporate, where they led the IT department and was responsible for software architecture, team management, and planning. Jorge also gained experience as a consultant in Microsoft technologies at Renacimiento, worked as an ASP.NET developer at NETCheck, Aubay, and IT Deusto, and worked as an ERP developer at Desarrollos Informáticos SHM.

Jorge Onieva's education history begins in 1998 when they enrolled at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Society Information Technologies) in 2004. Following this, in 2013, Jorge attended Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and obtained a Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2014.

After completing their master's, Jorge pursued further education and in 2017, they enrolled at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid once again, this time to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of Deep learning in medical imaging. Jorge successfully completed their PhD in 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Jorge Onieva also obtained certifications to enhance their skills. In 2018, they completed the Artificial Intelligence Nanodegree and Specializations (Natural Language Processing) from Udacity. Jorge also earned the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Web developer certification, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
