Dimitrios Kafetzis

Dimitrios Kafetzis has extensive work experience in various roles related to IoT, hardware design, embedded systems, and software engineering.

Dimitrios is currently working at DeepSea Technologies as the IoT Department Leader and Systems Architect.

Prior to that, they worked at Athens University of Economics and Business as a Teaching Fellow and later as a Researcher and Lead Research Engineer.

In 2020, they served as a Hardware Design and Embedded Systems Engineer as a contractor for the Audio Electronics industry.

Before that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Software Competitiveness International S.A.

Dimitrios also has experience as an Embedded Systems & Software Engineer and Project Manager at Prisma Electronics SA.

In addition, Dimitrios worked as a Technical Consultant and Embedded Systems Engineer at "Athena" Research and Innovation Center and as an Electronics Design Engineer at De Soutter Medical.

Dimitrios Kafetzis has a strong education background in the field of Computer Science and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Dimitrios completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science - Informatics at the Athens University of Economics and Business starting in 2019, and their educational experience in this program is ongoing. Prior to their PhD, Dimitrios pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Embedded Systems Engineering from the University of Leeds, which they completed in 2013. Dimitrios'sundergraduate studies took place at the same university, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree with honors specializing in Electronics and Nanotechnology in 2012. Overall, Dimitrios's education trajectory reflects their focus on developing a strong foundation and expertise in the fields of Computer Science and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
