Tom Tsou has a long history of professional experience. Tom began their career in 2009 as a Software Engineer at The OpenBTS Project, where they were the lead developer for layer 1 physical layer (PHY) and RF device platforms, as well as 2G (GPRS) and 2.5G (EDGE) data services. Tom also worked on algorithms for adaptive modulation and error correction coding, as well as RFIC integration (Analog Devices, Lime Microsystems). In 2010, they joined Ettus Research, a National Instruments Company, as an Embedded Software Engineer. In 2012, they became the Principal at SDR Concepts LLC. In 2015, they joined National Instruments as a Senior Software Engineer. Tom is currently a Principal Engineer at DeepSig Inc., a position they have held since 2019.
Tom Tsou received a B.S. in Computer Engineering and Math from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech. Additionally, they have an Amateur Radio Technician License from the Federal Communications Commission.
