Zachary Taylor has had a varied work experience. In 2022, they began working as a Security Engineer and Junior Security Analyst for DeepSurface Security. In 2021, they became Vice President of the Oregon State University Security Club. From 2018-2021, they were an Operational Security Analyst at Oregon State University, where they monitored university network traffic using Zeek and Splunk, investigated and remediated phishing campaigns, and triaged and responded to incidents using Microsoft products. Zachary also served as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant for Operating Systems I, Data Structures, Computer Architecture & Assembly, and Intro to Comp. Sci. I/II. In 2017, they were a Program Staff at Camp Tamarack Oregon, mentoring high school counselors, developing a curriculum for a week-long class, and managing situations arising from emotional and physical stress from campers.

Zachary Taylor attended Oregon State University from 2018 to 2022, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science. Zachary also studied Mathematics and Computer Science during this time.
