Charles R. Hunter

Charles R. Hunter, CISSP, is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in threat hunting and incident response. Currently serving as Principal Threat Hunter at Deepwatch since October 2021, Charles directs threat hunting programs and emphasizes behavioral analysis. Previously, Charles held various roles at the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, including Cyber Threat Hunting Analyst and Senior Cyber Security Analyst, focusing on threat intelligence, incident response, and security assessments. Early career positions included key roles in cybersecurity consulting, global systems security, and business security strategy. Charles also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Faculty member at ITT Technical Institute. Charles holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Purdue University, where academic endeavors spanned from 1993 to 1998.
