Kathy Chiu

Founding Managing Partner at DeepWork Capital

Kathy Chiu has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kathy is currently the Founding Managing Partner of DeepWork Capital, formerly known as FAN Fund, where they manage venture capital funds focused on the technology and life science sectors. In this role, Kathy takes a hands-on approach, conducting deep due diligence and engagement to create win-win opportunities for both entrepreneurs and investors.

Additionally, Kathy served as a Board Member at HCW Biologics from October 2020 to July 2021, and as a Member of the Board of Directors at Bealls, Inc. from February 2017 to November 2020.

Prior to these positions, Kathy was the Chief Operating Officer at Florida Angel Nexus from June 2014 to January 2016. Kathy also owned and consulted for Venture Catapult from May 2006 to June 2014.

Furthermore, Kathy worked as an Investment Professional at iSherpa from January 2004 to February 2006, and as a Senior Product Manager at Lefthand Networks from July 2002 to November 2003.

Earlier in their career, Kathy held the role of Business Development Manager at Level 3 Communications from June 2000 to June 2002, and worked as a Strategy Associate at Compaq from June 1999 to August 1999.

Kathy started their professional journey as a Research Analyst at Cornerstone Research from an unspecified date in 1995 to an unspecified date in 1998.

Kathy Chiu obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) between 1990 and 1995.
