Mike Wagner

Mike Wagner serves as the Lead Student Success Coach and Lecturer at Fort Lewis College since 2017, also holding the position of Assistant Adjunct Instructor. As Staff Manager and Program Leader at Deer Hill Expeditions since October 2018, Mike has contributed to facilitating outdoor education experiences. Previously, Mike was the Associate Director of Enrollment and Field Operations at Cottonwood Gulch Expeditions, which focuses on educational wilderness adventures in the American Southwest. Awarded Field Instructor of the Year by Big City Mountaineers in 2015, Mike led mountaineering expeditions for inner-city youth. Additional experience includes working as a Recreation Instructor with Denver Parks and Recreation and as a Field Guide with Western Mountain Youth Services and Mountain Homes Youth Ranch. Mike's early career includes serving as a Behavioral Health Technician at Alaska Crossings. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Adventure Education and Outdoor Program Administration, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Adventure Education, both from Prescott College.
