David Tee

David Tee has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. David started their career in 2009 as an Executive Director at Kartel Records, a prominent hip-hop label in Malaysia. During their tenure, they played a crucial role in the label's success and contributed to its acquisition by UMG in 2019, which led to the formation of Def Jam South-East Asia. Following this, David joined AVANA in 2016 as a Non-Executive Director, where they leveraged their expertise to help over 100,000 businesses optimize their brands and automate their online business capabilities. Currently, they serve as the Vice President (A&R & Commercial), SEA at Def Jam Recordings, where they continue to make significant contributions in the music industry.

David Tee completed their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd in 2008. Later, in 2009, they pursued the Bar Vocational Course from the same university to study law further.
