Mark Rempel is a Senior Defence Scientist at Defence Research and Development Canada since September 2003, where responsibilities include leading the Data Science Team and supporting strategic decision-making for the Department of National Defence and Canadian Armed Forces. Mark has extensive experience in research, analytics, and operations research, contributing to the development of multi-year research plans and innovative visualizations for defence planning. Prior to this role, Mark worked as a Data Science Consultant and as an Embedded Systems Software Developer at Nortel Networks. Mark holds a Master of Science in Physics and two Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Engineering Physics from the University of Saskatchewan, as well as a Professional Certificate in Strategic Decisions and Risk Management from Stanford University.
