Tony Ghoman, MSc, PMP, P.Eng. has extensive work experience in defense research and development in Canada. Tony began their career as an Engineering intern at Defence Research and Development Canada in 2001. From 2003 to 2012, Tony held various roles at DRDC Toronto, including Systems Engineering Group Leader and Research Engineer Group Leader for Human Systems Integration. During this time, they focused on enabling the Canadian Forces and national security elements to harness the full potential of DRDC's Human Effectiveness S&T. In 2012, Tony briefly served as the Acting Section Head of the Human Effectiveness Experimentation Center before transitioning to the role of Chief Engineer - Section Head of Facilities and Project Management Section and Systems Engineering. Tony led strategic innovation R&D activities and provided advice to senior management on capability generation and management issues. Tony also served as the Head of the Continental Defence Program Management Office, where they ensured major initiatives met government priorities and coordinated activities across all Director Generals. In 2019, they briefly acted as the Section Head of the Operational Health and Performance Section, focusing on understanding, preventing, and treating illness and injury associated with military operations. Since 2018, Tony has been the Chief Engineer - Section Head of Facilities and Project Management Section and Systems Engineering, where they continue to provide strategic advice and research on capability management issues.

Tony Ghoman, MSc, PMP, P.Eng. obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computer Software Engineering from McMaster University between 1998 and 2003. Tony then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management of Innovation and Technology (MIT) from the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, completing their studies in 2021.

In addition to their academic achievements, Tony Ghoman has obtained various certifications. These include the Professional Engineer of Ontario (P.Eng.) certification from Professional Engineers Ontario and the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the PMI Toronto Chapter. Tony has also completed the Applied Design and Innovation Immersion program delivered by UC Berkeley and Stanford University's Haas School of Business, as well as the Managers Development Program offered by the Canada School of Public Service.
