Jørn Tore Hov has extensive experience in the cybersecurity field, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Defendable since January 2021 and as a Senior Cybersecurity Advisor and Founder at Hov Invest AS since August 2005. Hov also holds the position of Cyber Security Specialist for Europol's EC3, contributing pro bono since May 2014. Prior to these roles, Hov co-founded and served as Chairman of the Board at mnemonic from May 2000 to December 2018 and worked as a Consultant/Manager at Skrivervik Data AS from June 1990 to June 2000. Additional experience includes a role as a Senior Consultant at the Norwegian Telecom Research Department from July 1988 to June 1990. Academic background includes studies at the University of Oslo from 1988 to 1989.

At Defendable we have made it our mission to help make you and your company just that: defendable. From 2016, BDO Cybersecurity was both part of BDO Norway’s Risk Advisory Services and of BDO’s Global Cybersecurity Leadership Team (consisting of the eight most mature cybersecurity member firms). In November 2020, BDO Cybersecurity was divested from BDO Norway, whereupon new investors came onboard and the name changed to Defendable AS. Through a formal cooperative agreement, Defendable’s cybersecurity services continue to be a vital part of BDO’s operational security service line-up towards its existing and potential new clients.
