Vincent Scott

CEO at Defense Cybersecurity Group

Vincent Scott has over 30 years of experience in the military and cybersecurity industry. Vincent began their career in 1990 as a Division Officer at the Naval Security Group Activity Fort Meade, and subsequently served as Damage Control Assistant and Auxillaries & Electrical Officer/Gunnery Officer at the USS Cape St. George and USS Vreeland, respectively. In 2004, they were appointed Deputy Director of Intelligence Collection at the U.S. European Command. After that, they served as Executive Officer/Deputy Commander at the Naval Information Operations Command Georgia and Director of C5ISR at Oklahoma State University's University Multispectral Laboratory. In 2012, Scott became President of IW Solutions/Security Group Solutions. In 2013, they joined Procter & Gamble as Global Cyber Security Detection and Response. Vincent then moved to PwC in 2015 as Director of Cyber Security & Privacy. In 2019, they became Executive Director of Sentir Research Laboratories. In 2020, Scott was appointed Chief Security Officer at Solutions Through Innovative Technologies, Inc. and CEO of Defense Cybersecurity Group.

Vincent Scott obtained their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from Admiral Farragut Academy between 1982 and 1985. Vincent then attended the United States Naval Academy from 1985 to 1989, graduating with a BS in Computer Science Software Engineering. In 1997, they obtained their Master of Science (MS) in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they completed in 2000. In 2007, they attended the USAF Air War College and obtained a Joint Professional Military Education Phase 1 in 2008. Vincent then attended the National Defense University in 2008 and obtained a Joint Professional Military Education Phase 2. In 2014, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the University of Fairfax, which they completed in 2016. Vincent has also obtained various certifications, including Certified Incident Handling Engineer from the CNSS Committee on National Security Systems in 2015, Information Systems Security Professional from the CNSS Committee on National Security Systems in 2015, Senior Systems Manager from the CNSS Committee on National Security Systems in 2015, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2021, CMMC Registered Professional from the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC AB) in 2020, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2014. Additionally, they obtained CMMC Certified Professional from The Cyber AB in 2022, CMMC Provisional Assessor from the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC AB) in 2021, and CMMC Provisional Instructor from the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC AB) in 2021.
