Shirley L. Reed

Ms. Shirley L. Reed is a Senior Executive Service member in the Department of Defense serving as Deputy Director for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service Columbus site. As deputy director, she assists in managing the day-to-day operations of 2,100 accounting and finance professionals in support of the United States Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and 10 Defense Agencies, in addition to overseeing operations for the DFAS Limestone site.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Reed served as Chief Information Officer for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. As CIO, she was responsible for the oversight of IT audit readiness activities while assisting with the development of strategies, policies and corrective action plans to mitigate audit findings.
