George Scheers

George Scheers currently serves as the Director of DLA Aviation Huntsville at the Defense Logistics Agency since February 2017. Prior to this role, George held several positions within the United States Air Force, including Chief of Contract Policy at AFLCMC PEO BES for a brief period in late 2016, Chief of Contracting for the Business Systems Division from September 2015 to August 2016, and Commander of the 6th Contracting Squadron from July 2012 to July 2015. Additional experience includes serving as a Contracting Officer at USSOCOM and Deputy Director at the Air Force Contracting Systems Program Office. George's leadership roles also encompassed Director of Operations at the Air Force Officer Training School and Flight Commander for the Mobility and Aircrew Training Flight. Earlier in the career, George worked as a Team Supervisor at the Defense Contract Management Agency and as a Contract Specialist within the 305th Contracting Squadron. Academically, George earned a Master of Business Administration from Trident University International and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Lehigh University.
