James Ostinowsky, MA, ASHM has extensive work experience in the field of safety and emergency management. James served as a Lead Safety and Occupational Health Specialist for the Defense Logistics Agency, conducting inspections and recommending abatement measures for safety compliance. Prior to this role, they worked as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist for the same organization.

Before joining the Defense Logistics Agency, James worked at the Naval District of Washington Fire & Emergency Services as a Firefighter/EMT and Hazardous Materials Technician. James Ostinowsky also holds an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Fire Science/Firefighting from HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, which they completed from 2000 to 2002. In addition to their degrees, they have several certifications including Associate Safety and Health Manager, Occupational Safety and Health Trainer, Occupational Safety and Health Manager, Occupational Safety and Health Specialist, Fire Officer IV, Fire Inspector III, Fire Instructor III, and Hazardous Materials Incident Commander.
