Azael Berlanga

Azael Berlanga is an experienced information system security officer currently employed at Defense Media Activity since December 2021. Previously, Azael served as a technical lead in the Combat Systems Repair Department at Commander, Naval Surface Squadron Five from December 2017 to July 2021, where responsibilities included leading the resolution of 48 CASREPS and 42 ship's force jobs. Azael also worked as a system administrator for U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa/U.S. 6th Fleet from January 2014 to June 2017, focusing on command-and-control maritime operations. Azael's educational background includes a Master of Science in Cybersecurity Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, expected by August 2024, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the same institution, and an Associate's degree in General Studies from Central Texas College.
