Deyane M. has a strong background in communication and media, with a focus on broadcasting. Deyane began their career in 2006 as a Broadcast Journalist for the American Forces Network Korea, where they supervised assignments and utilized audiovisual productions to convey news and public information. Deyane then moved on to become a Broadcast Journalist and Producer for Soldiers Radio & Television, where they served as a lead television news anchor and trained subordinates on television broadcast standards and equipment. In 2011, Deyane joined the Dept. of Defense, Defense Media Activity, first as a TV News Anchor for The Pentagon Channel, anchoring live original television breaking news reports. Deyane then became the Pentagon Bureau Chief for the Pentagon Channel, where they supervised a team of multimedia writers, editors, videographers, and producers. Deyane'sresponsibilities included establishing and maintaining effective communication between the Defense Media Agency, Federal agencies, and the general public. Throughout their career, Deyane has demonstrated professionalism, pace, and accuracy in their work, increasing production throughout the organizations they have been a part of.

Deyane M. completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications with a minor in Journalism at the University of Maryland Global Campus from 2009 to 2015. Deyane obtained a Diploma in Basic Public Affairs Specialist from the Defense Information School in 2006. Prior to that, they graduated from Woodbridge Senior High School in 2004 with a Diploma in General Studies. Additionally, they completed an On-Air Talent Internship at the Pentagon Channel in 2011, where they gained experience in on-air talent. Furthermore, they attended the Dan O'Day Radio Training program in 2007, focusing on radio personality and script training. As for professional development, they participated in the National Press Photographers Association Workshop for military news production. Lastly, Deyane M. completed a Leadership Course through the United States Army.
