Chief Of Live Operations at Defense Media Activity

Honey Shewbert has had a diverse work experience in media and communications. Starting in 2001, they worked as a Combat Camera Operator/Broadcast Journalist in the US Army for six years. Following their military service, they worked at AFN Europe from 2005 to 2014, serving in various roles including TV and Radio Station Broadcast Operations Manager and Senior TV and Radio Producer. From 2014 onwards, Honey has been employed at Defense Media Activity as the Chief of Live Operations and also served as an Executive Producer. Their responsibilities included overseeing live streams, hosting and producing events, and providing production support to the Department of Defense and its agencies.

Honey Shewbert has an extensive education history in the field of communication and media studies. In 2000, they enrolled in the University of Maryland Global Campus and completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies in 2015.

In 2014, they obtained the AVID Media Composer 7 User Certified certification from Avid Technology, and in 2019, they completed the Adobe Premiere Pro Intro-Advanced Bootcamp at ThinkB!G.LearnSmart - Adobe, Apple, & Microsoft Authorized Training Center. These certifications showcase their proficiency in video editing software and their dedication to staying up-to-date with industry-standard tools.
