Bryan Finster

Bryan Finster has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Bryan is currently employed at Defense Unicorns, where they hold the position of Distinguished Engineer. Bryan started this role in March 2021. Additionally, Bryan is a maintainer at Enterprise Dojo Consortium, MinimumCD.org, and DoD Platform One, all starting in 2021. Bryan also serves as a Founding Board Advisor at the Value Stream Management Consortium, also starting in 2021.

Prior to their current positions, Bryan worked at Walmart Global Tech for a significant period. Bryan held various roles during their time there, including Staff Software Engineer from August 2017 to March 2021, Systems Analyst from March 2008 to August 2017, Sr. Programmer Analyst from February 2004 to March 2008, and Programmer Analyst from December 2001 to February 2004.

Before joining Walmart, Bryan worked at EXE Technologies as a Programmer Analyst from March 1996 to October 2001.

Bryan Finster attended Southern Methodist University from 1989 to 1990, where they studied Computer Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Bryan has obtained several certifications. In March 2019, they completed a course on DevOps Culture and Mindset at UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education. Later, in March 2021, they obtained the EDT Black Belt certification from Engineering the Digital Transformation. Most recently, in October 2021, Bryan received the Scaled Agile DevOps Accredited Facilitator (SAD AF) certification from Scaled Agile DevOps.
