Halis Osman Erkan

Halis Osman Erkan has a diverse work experience spanning from 1998 to the present. Halis Osman is currently the Founder & CEO of DefensX, a position they have held since November 2019. Prior to that, they served as the CEO of Secure Industries, where they aimed to build resilient and secure cyberspaces for a hyperconnected world.

Erkan also has a strong background in the technology industry, particularly in the cybersecurity field. Halis Osman held multiple roles at Kron, including CEO of Krontech, where they successfully launched US operations and built a solid revenue stream from Fortune 1000 companies. Halis Osman also served as CEO for Kron BoD for six years, with a track record of delivering 22 consecutive quarterly profits. Additionally, Erkan was the VP of International Sales and IP Solutions Manager at Kron.

Before their time at Kron, Erkan worked at Nokia, where they held various leadership positions. As a Team Leader, they oversaw multinational teams and delivered complex telecommunication integration and testing projects globally. Halis Osman was also part of the team that built the first IPTC labs in the EU.

Erkan's career began as a freelance Linux System Administrator while they were a student. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their expertise in cybersecurity, technology, and leadership roles.

Halis Osman Erkan pursued their tertiary education in chronological order. From 1997 to 2001, they attended Ege University and earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering. Afterward, they decided to further enhance their qualifications by enrolling in Boğaziçi University in 2010. At Boğaziçi University, Halis pursued an Executive MBA program in Business Administration.
