Onyx M.

Onyx M. is a dedicated museum educator and communications professional with extensive experience in advocacy and storytelling. Currently serving as the Storyteller Support and Advocacy Manager at Define American since February 2022, Onyx has previously demonstrated excellence as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Art Institute of Chicago from April 2019 to November 2023, managing bilingual online tours and leading over 75 in-person tours for diverse audiences. Prior to this, Onyx was the Marketing Communications Manager at Hyde Park Art Center, where strategic approaches were employed to enhance organizational outcomes. Onyx holds a Master's degree in Museology/Museum Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago, completing the program in May 2021.
