Hugo Sin

Hugo Sin is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic initiatives and corporate governance. Currently serving as Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Definity Financial since May 2013, Hugo leads the demutualization program aimed at transforming Economical into a competitive public company, while overseeing organizational structures and policies to support long-term strategies. Prior to this role, Hugo held positions as Assistant Vice President, Senior Counsel, and Assistant Corporate Secretary at Shearman & Sterling LLP, focusing on Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions. Earlier consulting roles at Deloitte, CGI, and Accenture further enriched Hugo's expertise. Hugo holds a Juris Doctor degree in Law and a Bachelor of Science (Hon.) in Human Biology and Computer Science, both from the University of Toronto.
