Ashley Coates

Ashley Coates is a Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since October 2018, currently focusing on the International Marine Environment and previously engaging in stakeholder communications related to marine and fisheries policy. Prior to this role, Ashley served as a Strategic Communications Manager centered on Brexit communications in the food and fisheries sectors. Experience includes working as a Media Officer at the Department for Transport, where responsibilities included acting as a government spokesperson on rail policy, and as a Parliamentary Assistant to Sir Bernard Jenkin MP, providing operational, media, and legislative support.
