Katharine Winstanley is a skilled business analyst team leader at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since February 2022. Prior to this role, Katharine served in various capacities at the Care Quality Commission from August 2014 to February 2022, including as Intelligence Development Manager, where leadership was provided to a geographically-dispersed team, and as National Analysis Manager during a period of parental leave. Additionally, Katharine led data analysis for thematic reviews, notably investigating death investigations in NHS hospital trusts. Before joining the Care Quality Commission, Katharine held various analytic and policy roles within the UK Civil Service from December 2003 to August 2014. Katharine holds a Master of Arts in Classics and Classical Languages from the University of Bristol and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from King's College London.
