Laura Grant

Laura Grant is an accomplished environmental policy expert with extensive experience in various governmental and organizational roles. Currently serving as the Head of Water, Planning and Growth at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since February 2022, Grant is instrumental in delivering a £9m package to promote sustainable water management in Cambridge and beyond. Prior to this, Grant held key positions at the House of Commons, focusing on environmental policy and analysis, as well as at the Greater London Authority, where efforts centered on climate adaptation and sustainable urban water management. With a strong foundation from CIWEM, where Laura managed numerous environmental policies and parliamentary affairs, and a solid academic background in sustainability and geography, Grant has consistently contributed to advancements in environmental protection and resource management throughout a diverse career.
