Layne Frantz has over a decade of experience in the health and wellness industry. In 2008, they began their career as the Head Swimming Coach at Lancaster Country Club. In 2011, they became the Graduate Director of the Morrison Bruce Center at James Madison University, where they were responsible for program development and coordinating events that promoted physical activity to girls and women in the community. Frantz then served as an Exercise Physiologist Intern at Vanderbilt Dayani Center in 2012. From 2012-2013, they were the Project Coordinator for Cardiovascular Risk, Exercise, and Women (CREW), and the Lead Instructor for the Let's CHAT Research Program. In 2013, they began working as a Cardiac Technician at Virginia Heart, where they were responsible for performing daily tasks that included patient setup and screenings, routine electrocardiograms, chart preparation, prescription refills and the organization of patient information. In 2015, they began working as a Clinical Research Coordinator at UC San Diego Health System, where their responsibilities included coordination and oversight of start up procedures, study implementation, recruitment, subject screening, enrollment, and maintenance of subjects throughout multiple studies and divisions within the department. In 2016, they became the VP of Operations at Deft Consulting (Appian Partner), and Owner/Personal Trainer at Build Your Body with Layne, as well as a Personal Trainer at 24 Hour Fitness.
Layne Frantz obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from James Madison University in 2011. Layne then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the same university, which they completed in 2013. In addition, they hold an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
