Bree Viscaina

Manager, Volunteer Programs at Defy Ventures

Bree Viscaina is the Manager of Volunteer Programs at Defy Ventures. Bree previously worked as a Youth Advocate at Brotherhood Crusade from August 2019 to July 2020, where they recruited and onboarded 50+ youth to youth development program by administering initial enrollment procedures, interviewing clients for preparation of the individual youth development plan, and identifying and meeting youth and family needs. Bree also facilitated in-school bi-weekly sessions about socio-emotional learning, college preparation, and career readiness to promote academic and professional success. Bree tracked client progress by facilitating data collection and feedback in accordance with the monitoring and evaluation program. Bree also created a Google drive and converted paper forms into online documents and organized program data into excel for company-wide use. Bree converted lesson plans and facilitation into virtual learning during COVID-19. Prior to working at Brotherhood Crusade, Bree was a Team Leader at City Year Los Angeles from July 2017 to June 2019. Bree also worked as an Exam Proctor at UCSB Disabled Students Program from May 2015 to September 2016.

Bree Viscaina completed their high school education at La Serna High School. Bree then went on to study at UC Santa Barbara, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies.

Bree Viscaina reports to Quan Huynh, Executive Director, Southern California. They are on a team with Cosme Sandoval - Manager, Career Readiness Programs, Alex Toutant - Manager, Entrepreneurship Programs, and Darlene Luca - Manager, Career & Reentry Programs.
