Jeanette Pineiro

Jeanette Pineiro is the current Executive Director of Tri-State at Defy Ventures. Jeanette has a long and varied work history, with experience in both the public and private sectors.

Jeanette began their career as an intern with the Department of Education in 2009. In this role, they were responsible for communication between their supervisor and other department heads, as well as maintaining up-to-date contact information for public officials. Jeanette also transcribed relevant notes from City Hall meetings and distributed them to the relevant departments.

In 2011, Jeanette took on the role of Operations Manager with The Navarra Group. In this role, they were responsible for executing all operational elements of high-end community events, including venue and entertainment management, on-site event set-up and breakdown, sound equipment sourcing and technical setup, food and beverage services, event registration, and post-event survey analysis. Jeanette also helped to generate new revenue for the company by regularly assessing and improving TNG’s SOP to strategically grow the company’s client base.

In their current role as Executive Director of Tri-State at Defy Ventures, Jeanette is responsible for overseeing all operations of the organization. This includes managing staff, developing and implementing programs, fundraising, and promoting the organization’s mission.

Jeanette Pineiro completed their undergraduate degree at Cornell University in Development Sociology and Communication from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
