Jay Yin is an experienced Associate Principal at Degenkolb Engineers, contributing expertise since December 2014. Notable projects include the development of the New Burlingame Community Center, a two-story, 38,000 square foot steel moment frame structure featuring various community facilities. Prior to this role, Jay served as a Senior Associate at Rutherford + Chekene from December 1997 to June 2014, managing significant projects such as the adaptive reuse and new construction of the New Exploratorium at Piers 15/17 in San Francisco. Jay holds a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering with Distinction from Penn State University.
