Laura Rice

Laura Rice is an experienced structural engineer specializing in forensics and construction means and methods engineering. Currently serving as an Associate at Degenkolb Engineers since June 2015, Laura has contributed to a wide range of projects in healthcare, construction, and higher education, with expertise in water damage, fire damage, and adaptive reuse. Prior experience includes engineering roles at Allshouse Engineering, Inc. and Moody Structural Engineering, where Laura focused on remodels, retrofits, and various construction designs. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego and a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University. Additionally, Laura has held leadership positions such as President of the Cal Poly SEAOC, facilitating industry engagement for students.
