Rafael Cavero

Rafael Cavero is a seasoned petroleum engineer with extensive experience in reserves estimation, project economics, and market value appraisals across various South American countries, including Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru. Currently serving as Vice President and Senior Petroleum Engineer at DeGolyer and MacNaughton, Rafael previously held roles as a Senior Petroleum Engineer and an independent consultant, contributing to major projects in oil and natural gas. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Reservoir Evaluation and Management from Heriot-Watt University and an MBA from Universidad del CEMA. Additional expertise was developed through positions at notable companies such as Pan American Energy, Petrolera San Jose, and Petrobras Energia, focusing on reservoir management, waterflooding projects, and production engineering.
