Jon Freedman is based in Washington, DC, where he leads global government affairs for SUEZ’s Water Technologies & Solutions business. Previously, he led global government affairs & partnerships for GE’s water business. In addition, he was the project leader responsible for developing GE’s global environmental sustainability initiative now called Ecomagination. He also helped GE create a global water business by leading the acquisition of an NYSE-listed water company.
Jon teaches a class on water at the University of Pennsylvania, and he serves on the advisory board of The Wharton School’s Institute for Global Environmental Leadership. He also serves on the board of directors for the WateReuse Association. Jon has authored numerous articles and speaks frequently on the future of water, water reuse, and policy best practices.
Jon holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, a law degree from William & Mary, and an MBA in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
