Thomas Buer

As one of the global business leaders for Engineered Solutions, Thomas Buer is responsible for a team that develops new and delivers proven technologies & systems. Together they solve customers’ challenges for water, wastewater, sustainability and biosolids conversion to energy. This includes Water Technologies & Solutions’ membrane technologies, electro separation, thermal solutions, ozone and ultraviolet products and Oil & Gas solutions for onshore and offshore.

Thomas joined the business first in 2004 and has held a number of leadership positions with growing responsibility across the company since then. He has extensive experience leading global technology businesses such serving as the managing director and then chief technology officer for ZeeWeed products, the general manager for a biogas business, as a general manager for Analytical Instruments, and as the SVP for the Water & Process Technologies products business. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in wastewater engineering from the RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
