Marcel Barten

Marcel Barten has a significant work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Marcel began their career as a BA Student at IBM Deutschland GmbH in 2005 and worked there until 2008. From 2006 to 2019, Marcel worked as a Senior Software Engineer, initially without specifying a company. In 2012, they joined Bier-Deluxe as a Lead Software Engineer until 2014. In 2016, they became the CTO of everycademy, a position they held until 2020. From 2019 to 2023, Marcel worked at Tandemploy GmbH as a Microservice Architect and later as the CTO. In 2022, they held the role of Director of Engineering at Phenom. Currently, Marcel is working as the Chief Technology Officer at Degura GmbH starting from March 2023. Additionally, in 2022, they worked as a part-time tutor at Schlaufuchs Berlin, sharing their knowledge of programming and software development with young kids.

Marcel Barten completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Business Computing at Fachhochschule für Wirtschaft Berlin from 2005 to 2008.
