Jessica Claar

Jessica Claar has a diverse work experience in event coordination and management. Jessica started their career as a Graduate Assistant at the University of South Carolina-Columbia, where they worked in TRiO Programs. Jessica then moved on to become the Director of Campus Activities at Harcum College, where they managed programming for the college and developed activities for the student population. After that, they joined the National Association for Campus Activities, where they volunteered on the Regional Conference Planning Committee, helping plan and implement large-scale conferences. Jessica also worked at The College of New Jersey as the Assistant Director Of Student Activities and later served as the Interim Director of the Brower Student Center. In these roles, they coordinated and managed various aspects of major events and supervised staff. Jessica also had experience working as a freelance on-site representative/project manager for various agencies at concerts and tours. Currently, Jessica works at Degy Booking International / Degy Entertainment as the Director of Major Event Operations, where they oversee the operational and logistical details of major events and supports the needs of booking agents. Prior to this role, they were the Major Events Operations Manager at the same company. Before their current position, they worked at Swig - Event Staffing & Coordination as a Wedding Coordinator, where they flawlessly coordinated clients' events and created event timelines and schedules. Overall, Jessica has a strong background in event coordination, project management, and client relations.

Jessica Claar earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations and Journalism from Shorter University in the years 2000-2004. Later, from 2004-2006, they pursued a Master of Education degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs at the University of South Carolina. Additionally, they hold a certification as a RAMP Certified professional.
