Sadie Ghaffari has a diverse range of work experience across different companies and roles. Saeedeh (Sadie) is currently working as a Hardware Developer at Dejero since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Teledyne DALSA as a Design Specialist from June 2021 to December 2021.

From 2016 to 2021, Sadie was a Hardware Design Engineer at KA Imaging Inc. where they were a member of the hardware team responsible for developing the Multi-Energy X-ray Detector, Reveal 35C. This product is cleared by FDA and Health Canada and provides precise soft tissue, bone, and both image acquisitions for clinical diagnosis and industrial inspections.

Sadie also has research experience from their time at the University of Waterloo, where they worked as a Research Associate in RF and Mixed Signal Design from May 2015 to September 2016. Saeedeh (Sadie) was also a Research Assistant from May 2013 to April 2015. Additionally, they served as a Teacher Assistant for Engineering Design, Economics, and Impact on Society [ECE390] from January 2014 to April 2014, and for Linear Circuits [ECE140] from September 2013 to December 2013.

In 2014, Sadie was a Graduate Research Intern (Mitacs-Accelerate) at Silfab Solar Inc. Furthermore, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Victoria from September 2011 to December 2012 and as a Summer Intern in Gas Sensor Design and Development at the University of Tehran in August 2010.

Before embarking on their engineering career, Sadie worked as a Tour Guide at Mehretaban from July 2009 to September 2009.

Saeedeh (Sadie) Ghaffari obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Tehran, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. In 2012, they obtained certifications in Foundations of Project Management I & II from Mitacs. Saeedeh (Sadie) then pursued a Master's Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo, which they completed in 2014.
