Simon Thompson

Simon Thompson has had extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Simon started their career as a Consultant at Touche Ross in 1988 and then moved to Deloitte South Africa, where they worked as a Manager from 1991 to 1997. From 1997 to 2001, they served as a Principal Consultant at Ernst & Young Canada. In 2000, they joined Mitel as the Chief Information Officer and held the position until 2010. Following that, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Deloitte / Infotech from 2010 to 2013. Simon then moved to the Conservative Fund of Canada, where they served as the Chief Information Officer from September 2013 to March 2014, and later as the Chief Operating Officer from April 2014 to August 2016. In 2016, they joined Barrick Gold Corporation as a Digitization project manager until 2019. Most recently, they worked at Dejero, starting in January 2019 as the Head of Strategy and transitioning to the role of Director of Operations in January 2021.
