Alex Rentmeister

Alex Rentmeister has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the automotive industry. Alex is currently serving as the Vice President Group Manager Global Accounts Automotive Industry (OEM & Tier1) at DEKRA since April 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President Commercial Vehicles - Global Sales Management at DEKRA from May 2020 to March 2022. Before joining DEKRA, Alex worked as the Head of Business Unit Off-Highway at Accuride Corporation from September 2014 to April 2020. During their tenure, they successfully achieved the BU's turnaround, restructured the Automotive Tier1 MEFRO WHEELS group, and developed profitable growth in the global market. Alex also served as the Managing Director at RCS PROJECTS from March 2013 to August 2014. Earlier in their career, Alex held positions such as Global Customer Director at Automotive Lighting from April 2008 to March 2013, and Global Key Account Manager and Program Manager at Robert Bosch GmbH from January 2004 to March 2008. Alex started their career at Groupe Renault as a Strategy Manager - Division Light Commercial Vehicles from September 2000 to December 2003. Overall, Alex has a strong track record of driving growth, managing key accounts, and leading successful projects within the automotive industry.

Alex Rentmeister earned a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau from RWTH Aachen University from 1993 to 1999. In addition, from 1995 to 1996, they pursued studies in Rapid Prototyping 3D printing Software at CentraleSupélec. Alex also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in finance & strategy from Collège des Ingénieurs from 1999 to 2000.
