DEL VALLE ISD
Ruishi Wang currently serves as the Principal at Del Valle Independent School District and is a member of the Leadership Accelerator Cohort with the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce. A Board Member of the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association since May 2018, Ruishi has previously held leadership roles including Summer School Principal and Assistant Principal at Georgetown ISD and Interim Assistant Principal at Round Rock ISD. Additional experiences include roles as UIL Academic Coordinator, Director of Speech & Debate, and Teacher at Round Rock ISD, as well as participation in the Emerge program with Leadership Austin. Ruishi's education includes a Doctor of Philosophy in School Improvement from Texas State University, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Texas State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. Ruishi was also honored as a Coca-Cola Scholar in 2005.
