Sandi Castro

Sandi Castro currently serves as the Director of Information Systems & Applications, Career and Technical Education Coordinator, and Instructional Technology Coordinator at Del Valle Independent School District since July 2021. With over a decade of experience in educational roles, Sandi has presented at numerous local, state, national, and international conferences, focusing on Early Childhood and Special Education STEM projects and K-12 Computer Science initiatives. Prior positions include Instructional Technology Specialist and Teacher at Del Valle ISD, and roles in several educational institutions, including The University of Texas at Austin and Pflugerville ISD. Sandi holds a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on STEM Education from Texas Tech University and has advanced degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education.
