David Buchanan

David Buchanan is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in information security and risk management, currently serving as Partner and Chief Information Security Officer at Delap LLP since September 2009. Buchanan holds multiple certifications including CPA, CGMA, CISSP, and CISA, and has a strong background in PCI DSS compliance, information security consulting, and security audits across international locations. In addition, Buchanan is an active member of the Accredited Standards Committee X9, Inc., contributing to security standards for the retail payments industry. Prior roles include founding DB Global, Inc., a wholesale distributor in the beverage industry, and owning Winston Consulting, LLC, where consulting services on network security were provided. Buchanan began the professional journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Administration from George Fox University.
