Coby Owens

1st Vice Chair at Delaware Democratic Party

Coby Owens serves as the 1st Vice Chair of the Delaware Democratic Party since June 2021. Previously, Coby held the position of CEO at the Youth Caucus of America, Inc. from June 2016 to July 2020 and founded The Owens Foundation, an organization dedicated to combating chronic hunger and poverty through community empowerment, where Coby served as President from June 2013 to July 2019. Coby also worked as the National Constituency Coordinator for Kerri Evelyn Harris's US Senate campaign in 2018 and gained experience as a Legislative Page in the Delaware House of Representatives from June 2014 to July 2017. Coby's early career included a role as Community Outreach Director at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Family Outreach Center, focusing on drug and alcohol education and advocacy from May 2010 to June 2015. Coby is an alumnus of West Virginia University and Salesianum School.

The Delaware Democratic Party is the affiliate of the Democratic Party in the state of Delaware, headquartered in unincorporated New Castle County. The Delaware Democratic Party is one of the two biggest parties in the state of Delaware (the other being the Republican Party) and has existed since the Jacksonian Democrats broke away from the Federalists in 1825.
