Peter Velez

Peter Velez currently serves as the Director Of Security at Delaware North since October 2021 and has been an Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University since September 2017, specializing in leadership and communications skills. Their extensive law enforcement background includes roles as Troop B Commander and Region Commander with the New Jersey State Police from July 2012 to October 2021, where Peter oversaw operations at the Meadowlands Station and managed the "American Dream" project. Velez also held various positions within the New Jersey State Police including Station Commander and K9 Handler, and began their career as a State Trooper in New York. Velez holds both a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
