Tony Allen is the current Governor at Delaware State Chamber of Commerce. Tony has held various other corporate positions throughout their career, most notably Managing Director, Corporate Reputation at Bank of America and Executive Vice President at MBNA America Bank.
Tony has been instrumental in enterprise disciplines such as ongoing reputation analysis and opinion polling. Tony has also provided integrated communications support for the company’s brand, corporate social responsibility initiatives, and local market delivery nationwide. Their work has contributed materially to the positioning of Bank of America as a perceived leader in market and industry change since the 2009 financial crisis.
In their previous role as Communications Executive, Tony led approximately 100 professional communicators and was responsible for all internal and external communications across North America. This included executive communications, public relations, and media strategy, as well as coordination of experiential product campaigns.
Before joining Bank of America, Tony served as Executive Vice President at MBNA America Bank where they were primarily responsible for Mid-Atlantic regional call center operations. Tony grew $252 million in top-line revenue and product sales annually. Previously, they served as general manager for the vice chairman which included coordination of a $50MM branding effort.
Tony Allen attended William Penn High School for their college prep, then went on to study Political Science as their BA at the University of Delaware. For their graduate degrees, Tony Allen earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Baruch College, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Urban Affairs & Public Policy from the University of Delaware.
