LaKresha Roberts Moultrie has over a decade of experience in the legal field. LaKresha began their career as a Mediation/Arbitration Officer at New Castle County Family Court from 2006 to 2008. LaKresha then worked as a Law Clerk to the Chief Judge at State of Delaware Family Court from 2008 to 2010. LaKresha joined the Delaware Department of Justice in 2010 and held various roles including Deputy Attorney General, Division Director, and Chief Deputy Attorney General until 2018. During their time at the Department of Justice, they oversaw the work of all five divisions and assisted in the day-to-day operations. In 2018, LaKresha organized and managed a statewide campaign as a Democratic Candidate for Attorney General. LaKresha focused on family law-related policies and raised significant funds for their grassroots campaign. Later that year, they became the Vice President of Legal Affairs, General Counsel & Chief Enterprise Risk Officer at Delaware State University.
LaKresha Roberts Moultrie completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice at Pace University from 2000 to 2004. LaKresha then pursued Law and obtained their Doctor of Law degree (JD) from Delaware Law School, attending from 2004 to 2008.
