Spencer Gober, AICP, currently serves as the Manager of the Office of Community & Economic Development at the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission, a position held since December 2019. Prior to this role, Spencer worked at the Town of Belmont from December 2016 to December 2019 across various planning positions, managing the Planning Division during a senior planner's absence and contributing significantly to multiple economic and historic preservation initiatives. Also experienced in urban planning, Spencer worked for CHPlanning Ltd as an Urban Planner and Designer, focusing on community outreach for significant projects like the Southport Marine Terminal expansion. Spencer's early career included roles at the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission as a Smart Growth Intern and various positions in the banking sector. Spencer holds a Master's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from The University of Georgia.
