Steve Kawamura

Steve Kawamura has a diverse work history in the public sector. Most recently, they retired in 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Legislative Director for the California State Senate and worked as a Consultant for Delegata©. Steve also worked as a Legislative Representative for the Los Angeles County from 2009 to 2017. Before that, they were a Principal Analyst for the Los Angeles County, Office of the CEO, and a Senior Consultant for the California State Assembly.

Steve Kawamura has a diverse education history. Steve completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance at the Sacramento State College of Business Administration. Steve also obtained a Master's degree in Accounting from the same institution. In addition, they received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis.

Throughout their career, Steve has pursued various certificate programs to further develop their skills and knowledge. Steve completed a certificate program in Negotiation/Mediation/Arbitration at the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business, a certificate program in Local Government Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley - Goldman School of Public Policy, and a certificate program in State Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School.

To enhance their expertise in county policy and governance, Steve earned a Certificate from the CSAC Institute and became an Institute Fellow in County Policy Development at the same institution. Steve also attended Harvard University, where they earned a certificate in Cybersecurity.
