Willem-Jan Meijer

Willem-Jan Meijer is an accomplished executive currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at DAB.bio since March 2024. Previously, Willem-Jan held significant roles at Avantium from May 2022 to February 2024, including Director of Strategy and Licensing as well as Director of Corporate Development & Finance. Prior to this, Willem-Jan served as Financial Director at Avantium Renewable Polymers from February 2019 to April 2022 and as Chief Financial Officer at Synvina, a joint venture specializing in furandicarboxylic acid production, from November 2016 to February 2019. Before entering the renewable industry, Willem-Jan served as Managing Director and Global Head of Equity Capital Markets at ING from July 2011 to September 2016. Willem-Jan holds a Master's degree in Monetary Economics from the University of Groningen and completed Financial Studies at the University of Southampton.
