Sebastien Moitzheim

Sebastien Moitzheim is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the field of battery technology and materials science. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer and Business Development Manager at Powall since April 2018, Sebastien leads efforts in technology development for nanocoating powders, with a focus on enhancing battery performance. Prior roles include Battery Development Manager at Powall, where responsibilities encompassed R&D for next-generation battery materials and management of EU grant projects, as well as a researcher at imec, specializing in all-solid-state thin-film lithium-ion batteries. Additionally, a brief secondment at Panasonic explored future materials for energy storage. Sebastien's educational background includes a PhD in Fabrication and Characterization of 3D Thin-Film Batteries from KU Leuven and a Master's in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology from the same institution, along with a Bachelor's in Life Science & Technology from Leiden University/TU Delft.
